Avia Solution Advisors is a New Delhi–based Aerospace & Defence consulting firm founded and led by a distinguished veteran of the Indian Air Force. Our Team
Gp Capt OP Singh (Retd.)
Founder
Gp Capt Singh (Retd.) is a highly accomplished aerospace professional with over 40 years of diverse experience across aircraft, helicopter, aero-engine, armament, MRO, manufacturing, supply chain, and defence procurement domains. Throughout his distinguished career in the Indian Air Force, he held critical leadership roles overseeing fleet management, production systems, operational readiness, and large-scale maintenance programs across both Russian and Western aviation platforms.
He has also served on numerous Contract Negotiation Committees, managing multimillion-dollar acquisition and overhaul contracts with OEMs and global suppliers. His expertise spans defence procurement processes, indigenization of aerospace components, program management, production planning, life-cycle support, quality systems, and modernization of MRO infrastructure.
Beyond the IAF, he has advised civil and defence aerospace organizations on business development, MRO capability expansion, certification readiness, and supply-chain establishment whilst providing strategic direction to multiple industry players.
He holds an MBA (Marketing) from Nagpur University, a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial & Production Engineering from Bangalore University, and professional certifications in leadership, defence procurement, aviation quality systems, and aeronautical engineering from premier institutions including AFTC Bangalore.
Gp Capt Niraj Kumar Sharan (Retd.)
Senior Advisor - Aerospace & Defence
Gp Capt Sharan (Retd.) is a seasoned aeronautics expert with more than 40 years of domain experience in fighter aircraft operations, aero-engine systems, and maintenance ecosystems. His distinguished IAF career included serving as Director in the Acquisition Wing (MoD), where he gained deep expertise in Defence Procurement Procedures, capital acquisition, offsets, and contract governance. He has led indigenization programs, spares forecasting, demand management, and large-scale engineering operations, while also supporting business development and joint venture initiatives. For nearly a decade post-retirement, he has advised aerospace and defence companies on acquisition strategy, program management, MRO planning, and operational improvement, helping clients navigate procurement complexity with clarity and accuracy.
A Mechanical Engineering graduate and technical training from AFTC, Bangalore, he brings strong capability across program leadership, defence procurement, and industrial partnership advisory.
Gp Capt Siddhartha Mondal (Retd.)
Senior Advisor - Aerospace Systems & Integration
Gp Capt Mondal (Retd.) is a highly respected aerospace engineering leader with over 40 years of service in the Indian Air Force, BrahMos Aerospace and DGCA. An expert in fighter aircraft engineering, integration programs, and production ecosystem development, he has held senior appointments including Director Engineering (Su-30 MKI), Chief Engineering Officer, Command Engineering Officer, and Chief Instructor for MiG-29 & Su-30 MKI training schools.
Post his IAF tenure, he led the BrahMos Air-Launched Missile Integration Program at HAL Nashik and later served as General Manager (Production) heading both the Nagpur and Pilani production complexes, where he established critical manufacturing infrastructure and enabled series production of the air-version missile.
He is also a DGCA-empanelled Lead Evaluator and authorized for Drone Type Certification and Quality System Audits, bringing rare regulatory and quality expertise to the firm.
With engineering degrees from NIT Srinagar and specialized training from AFTC, Bangalore, he provides deep technical leadership across aerospace integration, production systems, and complex program management.
